Each Australia-Indonesia Leaders Program is accompanied by a brochure featuring program overviews, statements from key stakeholders in government, academia and industry, events guides and delegate profiles.
In 2016, the Australia-Indonesia Centre launched the ReelOzInd! Australia Indonesia Short Film Competition, inviting entries from both nations. Almost 1000 entries were submitted, and a shortlist was chosen by an esteemed panel of judges. The winners and special mentions were then developed into a festival which premiered in Melbourne at ACMI and Surabaya at Universitas Kristen Petra, then screened in 11 more cities from August to November 2016.
Presented by the Australia-Indonesia Centre and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia the third Indonesia-Australia Research Summit ‘Innovating Together: Starting local, reaching global’ took place on August 22 and 23.
In a pioneering initiative, the Australia-Indonesia Centre facilitates the exchange of talented designers to showcase their work at Jakarta Fashion Week and the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
The Centre embarks on social and economic research projects with partner organisations to reveal insights into the relationship between Australia and Indonesia.
