Irwan Abdullah received his Ph.D in Social Anthropology from University of Amsterdam. His academic interests are mainly in Social Development and Quality of Life, State-Society Relations, Gender and Policy, Local-Global Relations, Local and Religious Wisdom, Crisis and Disaster Studies, Religious Conflict and Conformity, Community Development and Cultural Studies.
