Utsamani is an experienced research assistant at the Center for Tropical Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

She is accustomed to assisting the development of research proposals and instruments, communicating with donors, ensuring research permits and conducting webinars. Her recent research projects mainly focus on infectious diseases, including accelerating uptake of COVID-19 Ag RDTs, clinical trial on COVID-19 prophylaxis, and access to prompt treatment of malaria in Manokwari district, West Papua.

Utsamani holds a Master of Public Health from UGM.

Utsamani is a member of the WHO-AIC Health Rapid Review Network.
