Rafika Ramli completed her Master of Law from the University of Queensland. Prior to her study at UQ, she works as an assistant lecturer for the Clinical Legal Education course at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Hasanuddin.

Rafika is interested in international law focusing on environmental law, the law of the sea, and human rights. Therefore, she started volunteering at Yayasan Konservasi Laut (YKL) Indonesia since she took Clinical Legal Education for the Environment. With YKL Indonesia, Rafika has learned about environmental and social issues in coastal areas.

After returning to Indonesia, Rafika works at the SDGs Center UNHAS and Center of Excellence for Interdisciplinary Studies (CEISS). Her roles are engaging and maintaining relationships with the partners, assisting in work plan-making, and assisting in interdisciplinary research. For example, she was involved in AIC Small Rapid Grant entitled Coping with COVID-19: A study on the impacts of the pandemic and the coping strategies of women and men living with disability in South Sulawesi, Indonesia.

Besides that, Rafika also works as a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Law UNHAS. She teaches the law of the sea, international law, international environmental law, and international treaty law.
