Professor Colm Kearney

Colm holds economics degrees from University College Dublin, the Universities of Essex and Western Ontario, and his PhD is from the University of Warwick.

Colm held his first professorial chair in 1990 in the Department of Economics and Finance at University of Western Sydney. After serving as senior economic consultant to the Federal Treasurer and Federal Finance Ministers during the Hawke-Keating Labor government, he took up the position of Professor of Finance and Economics at the University of Technology, Sydney, and continued with his research supported by a number of Australian Research Council awards.

In 2001 Colm was appointed Professor of International Business at Trinity College, Dublin. He was elected Dean of the Faculty of Business Economic and Social Studies in 2004, and in 2005, he was appointed Chief Academic Officer of the College. In 2012, he returned to Australia to take up the appointment of Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University.

Colm is an internationally renowned researcher with extensive international experience in the disciplines of economics, finance and international business. He is best known for his work in international business and international finance.
