Prof Dr Ir Muhammad Arsyad Thaha

Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Muhammad Arsyad Thaha obtained a Bachelor’s degree (1983) and a Bachelor of Engineering (1985) in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Unhas.

In 2001, Muhammad Arsyad completed his Master of Engineering education. Meanwhile, the Doctoral degree in Engineering was completed in 2006. Both were at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada. In 2012, Muhammad Arsyad attended Non Degree Training at Kyushu University, Japan.

Prior to serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Unhas (since 2018 until 2022), Muhammad Arsyad was the Head of the Civil Engineering Department of Unhas (2014 – 2018), Head of the Water Engineering Study Concentration (KKS), Civil Engineering Masters Program Unhas (2010 – 2014). He is also the Head of the Coastal Engineering Research Laboratory (since 2010), and the Head of the Hydraulics Laboratory (2006 – 2010).

Muhammad Arsyad Thaha has produced 59 articles published internationally, and 29 articles for national publications.
