Mala serves as Research and Development Officer that supports CISDI’s business process especially in planning, monitoring, and evaluating.
Apart from her work at CISDI, Mala currently volunteers as Project Manager of Patungan Listrik Program at Pelita Khatulistiwa, a non-profit organization that helps primary healthcare in remote area through crowdfunding electricity. Her interest in tobacco control issues, lead her to join in the FCTC Youth Community of Lentera Anak Foundation. On top of that, Mala also dedicated her time as consultant for several youth movement related to health and education such as Sahabat Remaja Mentawai and Gerakan Pemuda Peduli Pendidikan Mentawai. She also gives lectures at the Faculty of Public Health, Airlangga University and Indonesian Public Health Student Association (ISMKMI) as a Guest Lecturer for Basic Training of Public Health.
Mala was an awardee of BIDIKMISI Scholarship from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Indonesia, to pursue undergraduate study in Airlangga University 2010-2014. During her college years, she won many national and international scientific writing competitions and earned several research grants from USAID and DIKTI. Because of those achievements, Mala had been awarded as Best Student (2013) and Graduate with Honors from Airlangga University (2015).
