Katharine Tapley

Katharine Tapley is a corporate banker with a legal and M&A background. Since joining ANZ in 2001, she has undertaken roles in Markets, Transaction Banking and Specialised Lending across commodities, structured trade, project & export finance and most recently green financing markets.

In her current role as Head of Sustainable Finance Solutions, she works with clients to help fund their commitments towards transitioning to a lower carbon economy. In particular, she engages alongside ANZ’s DCM team with issuers and investors on green bond market opportunities in Australia, NZ and Asia. She also played a key role alongside ANZ’s Group Treasury and Debt Syndicate teams in the issuance of the bank’s AU$600m inaugural green bond in mid-2015.

She holds an BA (Eng Lit) and LLB from the University of Otago in New Zealand. She is a 2016 alumnus of The Prince of Wales Business & Sustainability Programme (University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership).
