Jon Sibley

Since 2011, Jon has been managing the Energy Policy Team within ACT Government. This includes developing the Territory’s large-scale FiT legislation and 40MW solar auction, developing a retailer obligation energy efficiency scheme and overseeing the NECF implementation and other energy market reforms. To 2013, Jon also had responsibility for climate change policy including developing AP2 which will deliver a 40% reduction from 1990 levels by 2020.Prior to 2011, Jon developed and helped implement corporate sustainability and energy management programs. Jon has also been involved in government program delivery, regulation and technology strategy as an IT project manager. His interest is in integrating environmental objectives with sound economic principles, organisational management systems and technology systems.
