His Excellency, Nadjib Riphat Kesoema, joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia in 1981, has been Indonesia’s Ambassador to Australia and Vanuatu since October 2012.
Previously, Ambassador Riphat was the Deputy of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs in 2011 and Indonesia’s Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg in 2006. His previous assignments overseas as diplomat career were Oslo (1986), Vatican City (1992) and Canberra (1999), and Ambassador Riphat has chaired international conferences as well as represented Indonesia in many international forums. Ambassador Riphat was awarded four cultural awards from Belgium and Province of Bali as well as the Order of St. Gregory the Great II – The Holy See. Born in Medan, on 23 March 1953, and married with two daughters, Ambassador Riphat enjoys music and singing.
