Georgia Smith

Georgia currently studies a Bachelor of Laws/International Studies majoring in International Relations at Deakin University. She also has a Diploma of Languages for Indonesian which she completed in 2019.

Having studied the language for 12 years, Georgia has had extensive experience with Indonesia through formal education and multiple in-country experiences. This has included living and working in Jakarta as an English teacher’s assistant, an in-country language program at UIN Malang and also completing an internship with the Australian Institute of International Affairs as part of their Indonesia Study Tour in 2019. Outside of formal programs, she has also been able to travel back in her own time to learn and experience more about the Indonesian language and culture.

She works as an intern at The Australia-Indonesia Centre through her participation as a delegate in the Australia Indonesia Youth Exchange Program, an initiative between the Australian and Indonesian Government.
