The Australia-Indonesia Centre
In his role as Research Operations Coordinator at the Australia–Indonesia Centre, Febi supports the operational delivery of the Centre’s flagship Partnership for Australia–Indonesia Research (PAIR) program and coordinates other bilateral initiatives between Australia and Indonesia. His work focuses on financial and legal coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project management across multiple sectors.
Febi manages project agreements and institutional partnerships with universities, government agencies, and development organisations, ensuring compliance with frameworks, timelines and donor requirements. He also oversees logistics for workshops, bilateral meetings, and fieldwork, while maintaining financial oversight through budgeting, forecasting, procurement and reporting.
A key part of his work involves liaising with partners across government, academia, NGOs, and multilateral institutions to foster and maintain strong relationships that support productive collaboration. He regularly drafts, edits, and translates reports, agreements, and policy briefs in both English and Indonesian, enabling accurate and accessible information sharing between partners.
With over seven years of experience in international research and development collaboration, Febi has supported and managed more than ten bilateral projects across health, education, finance, transport, and digital innovation. His portfolio includes initiatives such as the Indonesia-Australia Nursing Qualification Recognition and Partnership Projects, the Australia–Indonesia Financial Leaders Program, the Australia Awards Transport Fellowship, the WHO Rapid Reviews for Health Policy and Cybersecurity for MSMEs.
Febi holds a Master of Science in Management (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science, both from Institut Teknologi Bandung. He is passionate about fostering research partnerships that strengthen policy impact and promote inclusive collaboration between Australia and Indonesia.
