Dr Sulfahri is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Hasanuddin. He holds a Bachelor of Biological Sciences from ITS Surabaya, a master’s degree from Airlangga University, and a PhD from Universitas Negeri Malang.
His research interest includes the pretreatment of algal biomass, conversion of algal biomass to biofuels, and fermentation of biomass to produce bioenergy. He is one of the founding members of Indonesia Green Innovation, Biodetox herbal medicine, and Biobetes herbal medicine. Since 2017, he has served as chief editor of International Journal of Applied Biology. In 2018, the Tempo Institute awarded him as a Young Indonesian Figure in Renewable Energy.
