Dr Misita Anwar

Misita Anwar is an academic with a passion for creating social impact. She has been researching in the area of ICT4D working with disadvantaged communities in developing countries.
Dr Anwar is currently a lecturer in the field of Information Systems at Swinburne University of Technology and an Adjunct Research Fellow at Faculty of IT, Monash University. Her interests lie in the intersection of technology, people, and the wider socio-economic structures.
She has been working on several projects on how ICT and information can enhance the socio-economic participation of poor and disadvantaged communities. Dr Anwar works focus on the design and impact of digital solutions in improving information access and support well-being and social inclusion of rural communities, women, and people with disabilities.
