Dr Indah Widyahening

Indah Suci Widyahening obtained her medical doctor (MD) degree from the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia (FKUI), Jakarta in 1997. She then continued her study in the Postgraduate Program in Occupational Health and Safety of the Universitas Indon, Being a primary care physician by training, Indah Suci Widyahening held position as the Head of the Family Medicine Clinics of the FKUI from 2002 to 2009.

Since 2006, Dr. Widyahening has coordinated and participated in several nation-wide projects on diabetes including development of guidelines for primary care physicians, development of model for diabetes management in primary health care, training of health professions in management of diabetes and its complications, community empowerment on NCD risks prevention and detection, and early detection of Tuberculosis and Diabetes co- morbidity. The projects were collaborations with various stakeholders such as the Indonesian Society of Endocrinology, the Indonesian Pediatric Association, the Ministry of Health as well as international organization such as the World Diabetes Foundation.
