Dr Heather Stewart

Dr Heather Stewart is the co-leader of the AIC PAIR grant Promoting Indonesian COVID-19 recovery and societal equality through digital transformation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). She holds a doctoral degree from The University of Queensland, degrees in Arts and Education from Edith Cowan University and a Graduate Diploma in Indonesian Studies from Charles Darwin University.
Her research interests include digital transformation, crisis and issues management, the rapid transition to online learning and work-integrated learning with a social equity focus. She is a specialist Innovative Sprint co-design facilitator of social impact internships and a leader of two global projects with industry, education and government partners. She has been an academic for 14 years. She is a multi- award-winning journalist of 18 years, with accolades including Australia’s prestigious Walkley, and two finalist nominations.
