Dr Dyah Rahmawati Hizbaron

Dr. Dyah Rahmawati Hizbaron, M.T, M.Sc (Emma) is a lecturer at Faculty of Geography and Research Fellow at Research Centre for Disaster Universitas Gadjah Mada. She received her bachelor’s degree in Regional Development from Universitas Gadjah Mada. She received her master’s degree in Infrastructure and Environmental Planning from Institut Teknologi Bandung and RijksUniversiteit of Groningen, The Netherlands.
Dr Emma obtained her doctorate degree in Environmental Science from Universitas Gadjah Mada and Universiteit of Innsbruck, Austria. Her main area of interest is in disaster studies, especially vulnerability assessment, urban risk management, ecosystem based management. Dr Emma wishes to broaden any relevant issues in relation to coastal and watershed management. Her publications are available here.
Currently, she acts as the youngest female Vice Dean for Research, Community Services, Cooperation and Alumni for Faculty of Geography Universitas Gadjah Mada (2016-2021).
