Dwi earned his PhD from Michigan State University (MSU) in curriculum, teaching, and education policy. He also earned his MA from MSU on a Fulbright scholarship. During his doctorate program, he received a Homer Higbee International Education Award to recognise his outstanding contribution in building cross-cultural understanding.
Prior to joining AIC, Dwi has undertaken various roles such as: an international program coordinator at the Graduate School of Yogyakarta State University as well as lecturer in its educational policy program, a member of the board of directors for LATTICE (a teacher professional development organisation, based in Michigan, USA), and a co-leader of Fellowship to Enhance Global Understanding – a program that brought doctoral students from MSU to Indonesia for comparative studies in education.
