Beta Yulianita Gitaharie is an Associate Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia and also serves as an AIC Rapid Research co-lead. She obtained her Bachelor degree at FEUI in 1992 with a concentration on Monetary and Banking Economics. She continued her education at the Postgraduate Program FEUI graduating in 2001 with a concentration in Regional Economics. She then obtained a Doctoral degree at FEUI specializing in Monetary Economics.

Her work experience includes the Daily Manager and Main Researcher at IESP FEUI Laboratory from January 2003 to July 2004. She is also active in teaching the Applied Econometrics and Forecasting Methods course at the Postgraduate Program in Economics Special Class for DKI since 2004.

Her past research includes the Survey of Formal-Informal Linkages, the World Bank, in May 2004. She also published journal articles, one of which is published in the MATSTAT Scientific Journal, Vol 2 No 2, 2004 with the title “Modelling the Volatility of the Yen Currency using the ARCH-GARCH Model”, with Bagus Sumargo.
