The Australia-Indonesia Centre host the 2016 Research Outlook media event to present exciting stories about the bilateral research that has been conducted over the last 12 months between researchers in Australia and Indonesia
The projects include:
- Providing power to the people – Indonesia and Australia to research delivering power to remote communities and to grow cities
- Fishing for food security – Is there a link between fishing productivity and feelings of food insecurity?
- Riding the rails to an efficient freight system – A railcar equipped with thousands of sensors is helping scientists determine the safest way to restore Indonesia’s abandoned railway tracks.
- Healthcare for the missing middle – millions of people are still not enrolled in Indonesia’s national health insurance program. Indonesian and Australian scientists want to find out why.
