Passive housing in warm climates

This project will investigate the potential for passive house designs specifically aimed at warm climates. It redresses in part a global research emphasis on housing designs for relatively cool climates, where the main aim is to minimise the additional heating needed in the house. The research will investigate passive design relevant to much of Australia and Indonesia, where the climate is relatively warm, and where artificial high energy use cooling such as air conditioning needs to be minimised.
