Near off-grid solutions using renewable energy technologies and demand side prediction

Current battery and solar technologies provide grid dependent renewable solutions, but may not be useful for remote communities in Indonesia or Australia which lack the underlying grid infrastructure.  These communities seek cost effective, grid independent solutions with defined minimal or zero down-times. This project will investigate the feasibility of such solutions by modeling the effect of shallow geothermal and other renewable energy sources on commercially available combined solar panels supported by batteries.
