Mapping the energy resources and infrastructure of Indonesia and Australia

The primary goal of the project is to form a comprehensive and comparative understanding of the electricity systems in Indonesia and Australia. This understanding will form the cornerstone of future work to be conducted in the Energy cluster on the entire energy system. With a focus on electricity systems, this project will support the cluster planning process through the development of an early understanding of the opportunities and barriers to growth and transformation of energy systems in Indonesia and Australia.  In particular, it will focus on identifying opportunities for, and barriers to supplying electricity to remote and island populations that do not yet have access to electricity.
