Indonesian Showcase at Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2016: ETU
The Australia-Indonesia Centre proudly presents Indonesian designer Restu Anggraini’s latest ETU collection at the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2016.
The event follows ETU winning the ANZ Young Indonesian Designer Award 2015 at Jakarta Fashion Week. ETU’s 2016 collection is sophisticated and contemporary, yet still retains the modesty required of Islamic fashion. The new collection will hit the Melbourne Runway on March 10, 2016, at the Melbourne Museum.
ETU is Restu Anggraini’s premium collection as being “created to serve the growing needs of women across the world seeking for honest Modest Workwear, allowing women to express their desires and personalities through simple yet cutting-edge design. ETU’s signature is simply chic, modest, clean cut, and unique details.”
When talking about premium modest workwear segment, people will always think about clean and functional look. And perhaps, it makes the choices very limited and challenging. The purpose of ETU design is to create unique silhouettes by interlacing several fabrics with paneling, color contrast, and fabric manipulation technique.
ETU apply a unique technique as their design hallmark. You could simply see it in this collection by which ETU used layered basic garments, (where both gender could wear it) to create the clean and functional look. Thus, makes the look of workwear to become more sophisticated in its silhouettes.
