Research Capacity And Capability
The project aims to complete the documentation that will provide access to AIC researchers to a wide range of Indonesian census and survey unit record databases and official survey data from Statistics Indonesia including the PODES, SUSENAS, SUPAS and SAKERNAS data collections and RISKESDAS from the Department of Health. The data collections are already lodged with the Australian Data Archive at ANU but efficient usage of the data requires that documentation (descriptions of the samples, the variables and variable categories, the questionnaires etc.) are readily available to potential users. The databases contain a very large amount of information relating to all four of the research clusters: energy, food and agriculture, health and medicine and infrastructure. These databases will also be made available to students and staff at the Demographic Institute of the University of Indonesia.
