De-normalising smoking among youths: A school-based smoking prevention program

The primary goal of the project is the de-normalisation of smoking attitudes among junior high school students in grade 7 and 8 (14-15 years old), who live in Jakarta. The active involvement of teachers to integrate module about the negative effects of tobacco use and prevention of smoking into the existing curriculum as well as the engagement of youth volunteers (19-24 years old) to support junior high school students with soft skills training (such as leadership, communication and decision-making workshops) are a vital component to attaining this goal.
