The Monash Sustainable Development Institute, a University-wide Institute reporting to the Provost at Monash University, Melbourne, is offering two Deputy Director positions.
The Professor and Deputy Director, Research will lead MSDI’s interdisciplinary research strategy by facilitating and stimulating multi-faculty research projects. A key focus will be driving a program of engagement and building relationships with faculties in order to co-develop high quality projects that support MSDI’s strategic agenda to address sustainable development challenges. The successful candidate will have an international outlook and a strong academic track record of publishing and grant success. In addition they will have a strong reputation for building successful interdisciplinary research teams.
The Professor and Deputy Director, Enterprise position is also an academic role and will lead the Institute’s impact and engagement strategy increasing the relevance and use of MSDI’s research and education agenda. This role will focus on maximising the value of MSDI’s partnerships and networks to increase the uptake and utilisation of Sustainable Development research and education in policy and practice. The successful candidate will bring exceptional engagement capability and will also lead the the Institute’s program of endowments.
