Svida Alisjahbana is the President, Director and CEO of Femina Group, the leading womens and lifestyle publishing house in Indonesia.
Svida’s career in the publishing industry began as Commercial Director, responsible for leading the group’s future directions, include working on strategic initiatives and multi-digital platform developments. Two of her initiatives became important events for the nation: Femina’s Women Entrepreneurship Program and Jakarta Fashion Week.
Prior to joining Femina Group, Svida worked for 5 years in Connecticut for GE Capital. Svida obtained her bachelors degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1988 and continued her MBA degree at Columbia University, New York.
Svida sits as the Chair of the Magazine Section for the Indonesian Press Association. She currently serves as a Member of the Board of Management of The International Federation of the Periodical Press (FIPP) since 2008.
In 2011, Svida was one of the Founding Board Member of Endeavor Indonesia and a member of its Executive Committee. She is active in the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), her current role is The Regional (SE Asia) Education Chair until 2013. Svida was a Fellow at the Women’s Leadership Program 2010, Eisenhower Fellowship.
