Megan joined the Australia Indonesia Centre from the University of Melbourne where she worked in International Relations and Partnership Consultancy roles.
While at Melbourne she was responsible for oversight of relationships in SE Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa and was partnership consultant to implement the Defence Science Institute.
She holds a Masters in Veterinary Science (Epidemiology) from the University of Melbourne and has held lecturing and government posts in the UK and Australia. In government she was Veterinary Advisor to the Chief Veterinary Officer, UK where she set up major geographic information systems and strategic risk assessment management for high risk disease events. She was Deputy Head of the Veterinary Career Home in Defra, UK representative to the EU on Training for Safer Foods and Chaired the UK Government – UK Veterinary Schools joint working group for three years which focused on undergrad and postgrad veterinary training related to public health.
Megan Power departed The Australia-Indonesia Centre in March 2017 to pursue a PhD.
