Ella joined The Australia-Indonesia Centre as the Engagement Officer in July 2017.
Ella completed her Master of Development Studies at the University of Melbourne and Bachelor of Political Sciences majoring in International Relations from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). She also worked at UGM as a Program Coordinator for the Office of International Affairs.
Having been educated and raised in Australia and Indonesia, Ella has always had an interest to develop bilateral relations between the two countries. Ella is particularly passionate about language education and was part of the Leadership Team that launched the National Australia Indonesia Language Awards (NAILA) in 2015. She continues to promote the learning of Bahasa Indonesia in Australia through NAILA as the Senior Translations Advisor.
Ella also has two years of experience in the development sector with Save the Children Australia through a number of roles. During this time she worked closely with immigrant and refugee children from Africa and the Middle East.
